The Red Lion is a well-presented stone built 17th Century Coaching Inn, situated on the A619, a main artery through the popular market town of Bakewell. It is close to nearby shops, opposite the award winning Bath Gardens, and in the centre of a well-established tourist haven and local markets.
We offer our guests a choice of five en-suite double bedrooms including a cooked breakfast featuring locally sourced produce.
The pub has a central bar servery, a raised 30 seater restaurant, a lower lounge area, a dog friendly taproom and a large outside garden area.
Bakewell is the only market town situated in the Peak District National Park. It is about thirteen miles southwest of Sheffield, 31 miles southeast of Manchester, and 30 miles north of the county town of Derby; nearby towns include Chesterfield to the east and Buxton to the west.
Famous for its puddings, Bakewell holds markets every Monday in the town centre and there is a thriving monthly livestock market.
