Garth Hewitt concert: Something for the Soul

Bakewell

Garth is a well known known gospel and protest singer. He sings rootsy storytelling songs influenced by country, folk and blues. He will be singing songs from his most recent album, Something for the Soul. Profits from this concert will go towards the work of the human rights charity 'Amos Trust', founded by Garth in 1985.

During the evening a bar will be available.

Lead Singer of The Stylistics Saturday 14th March 2015 
Lead Singer of The Stylistics: One Night Only with Eban Brown

For any romantics out there, or individuals who want to treat themselves to a spectacular night out with their friends.... This is an event not to be missed!! 

Lead Singer of the world renowned Stylistics, and an accomplished guitarist and jazz musician in his own right. He is performing 10 UK Concerts as part of his Eyes of a Child Tour. 

Eban Brown has written, produced and will be performing his own charity single on the night too. Proceeds from the sale of his single will be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital. 

This will be a truly fantastic show, one not to be missed!!  Especially as it for such a great cause. There will be a combination of the Stylistics hits to reminisce about the good old days, some of Eban's own hit records and much much more!! 

He will be performing in Bakewell for One Night Only on 14th March at the Bakewell Town Hall.

Rachel Carter will be working on site to create a giant, suspended woven hanging to celebrate the opening of the "Cotton Room"

 
Easter Activitities 28th March - 12th April 2015 

Old House Museum

Come and follow our egg trail around the museum, and design your very own Easter Egg (to be displayed on an Easter mobile in the courtyard)

AGE UK SPRING FAYRE Monday 30th March 2015 

AGE UK BAKEWELL CENTRE is holding a 

Spring Fayre on Monday 30th March at the Age UK Bakewell Centre 10am - 1pm (we are across from the Bakewell Library).

Admission is £1 which includes Tea/Coffee and Biscuits and children have free admission.

there will be TOMBOLA, RAFFLE, LADIES ACCESSORIES, BRIC A BRAC, 

NEARLY NEW, DVDS AND BOOKS, CAKES  and more. 


Any donations for any of our stalls are very much appreciated.  all money raised goes directly to providing all our members with Summer outings, Activities and Entertainment.

Bootcamp 18th January - 25th March 2015 

Exercise outdoors with friendly like-minded people. All abilities catered for. A mix of cardio and resistance work to improve fitness and strength. Mon/ Wed 6pm meet at Baslow Sports Field, Sat 930am meet at Chatsworth Gym. Participants must be18-69 years old unless you have rang to discuss your needs. Personal Training also available. All weathers.

When picking an exercise class remember if it doesn't challenge you it won't change you! You need to exercise at an intensity that makes you breathless if you are to improve your physical fitness and lower your risk of a multitude of health problems.
