Carsington Sports and Leisure have been providing training courses for professionals and amateur enthusiasts for many years in water based activities.
We offer training in a wide variety of disciplines, using a diverse fleet of modern equipment. The centre is a Royal Yachting Association (R.Y.A.) recognised training centre, and also a British Canoe Union (B.C.U.) approved centre. This means that all equipment reaches a high standard, and that all training at the centre is conducted by qualified instructors.
We regularly run R.Y.A. Sailing, Windsurfing and Powerboat courses, in addition to these we also provide British Canoe Union B.C.U. Kayaking courses. The courses run throughout the year to take advantage of the variety of conditions that Carsington Water provides.

The Water Sports and Cycle Hire Centre at Carsington Water is run by Carsington Sports and Leisure Ltd.
The company was formed in 1992 by local water sports and cycling enthusiasts.We opened the centre in July 1992, when Severn Trent first filled the reservoir.
We offer services ranging from hire and basic tuition for absolute beginners through to training courses for experts and instructors.
The activities on offer include:
Sailing
Kayaking
Windsurfing
Powerboating
Raft Building
Orienteering
Mountain Biking
Climbing
The centre is open every day of the year except Christmas Day & New Years Day from 10:00am.
Whilst concentrating on offering a service that focuses on quality and safety. Our emphasis is on providing a friendly welcoming environment to encourage and help people learn new activities and skills.
