| Oxfam Autumn Ceilidh | Saturday 7th November 2009 |

 | Bakewell Oxfam Group will be holding its annual ceilidh at Bakewell Town Hall on Saturday, 7th November. This lively evening is always popular, so why not dust off your dancing shoes, and dance the night away to the foot tapping rhythms of the Down Trodden String Band. Catch your breath in the interval with a demonstration of Appalachian dancing from local dancers, Well Heeled.

Saturday November 14th at Bakewell Town Hall sees the return to Bakewell of The Mersey Beatles. Straight from the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool they are regarded by many as the best Beatles tribute band around. They've played here twice previously to sell out audiences and gone down a storm both times. Presented by Bakewell Arts Festival. | Bakewell Farmers market | Saturday 28th November 2009 |

 | Farmers Markets are an opportunity to buy food and local products direct from
local farmers, producers and craftsmen. They sell only products which
have been grown, raised, baked or caught locally, normally within 30
miles. They do not sell GM foods. Many stallholders will be registered
organic producers.
Bakewell Farmers Market is held at the Bakewell Agricultural centre
and takes place on the last Saturday of the month from 9 am to 2 pm.

 | November 28th. 10am gavioli fairground organ outside the cook shop, steam engine at the side of the Red lion, james mckay with the owls and birds of prey at the Nat west end of water lane, DTA theatre arts from chesterfield will set up on the crescent at the river end of granby road from around 3pm to do some performances. There will also be childrens rides in portland sq ,Buskers and so on. Santa's Grotto in The peacock Car Park on Market Street; The lantern parade will start around 6 to 6.15 from the cook shop finishing at bath gardens where Becky measures from Peak FMwill illuminate the tree at 6.45 ish. Children should bring their own hats, lantern or both and there will be 3 prizes for the most creative. |
