Not to be missed.
Nightingale Singers return on Saturday 10th October to All Saints Parish Church, Bakewell at 7pm

In one festive evening you'll hear madrigals, medleys from musicals, comedy items, jazz, folk, and classical music, both vocal and instrumental. You'll even have a chance to sing along at times! It's all in a party atmosphere that will lift your spirits and provide a truly memorable time.
The highly talented and entertaining Nightingale Singers will be bringing to Bakewell their unique, sweetly-blended tone, swinging rhythms and playful crowd interaction, all smoothly compered by their engaging Master of Ceremonies, Paul Ashworth.
So be sure not to miss The Nightingale Singers at 7pm on Saturday 10th October at Bakewell Parish Church! Tickets will be £5 on the door and proceeds will go towards the church's kitchen project.

Heavenly Music at Bakewell Parish Church
On Saturday 24th October at All Saints Church, the Revd John Paul Hoskins will be attempting to sing all 150 psalms in a single day. The aim is to raise money for the Bakewell Parish Church kitchen project.
Before he was ordained, JP was a professional singer in the cathedral choir at Durham. Joining him for the day will be two other former Durham singers,Jeremy Dawson and James Rees. Together they will be chanting the psalter to plainsong, the unaccompanied, hypnotic music that immediately conjures up images of monks and monasteries.
It will take about 8 hours to sing all 150 psalms, starting at 9.00am and finishing in the early evening. Refreshments will be available all day for anyone who wants to come and listen.
"I'm not sure if anyone has ever sung all 150 psalms in a single day," JP says, "But we'll give it our best shot and hope our voices hold out!"
If you would like to sponsor JP, please speak to him on (01433) 630979, or email hoskjp@tiscali.co.uk
