Granby Road CAR PARK (DDDC controlled / Pay and display)

This car park has 124 spaces and is a mix of spaces.

The long stay area is in the rear courtyard.

This car park is ideal for quick in and out shopping trips

Still having problems parking ?? Don’t give up. Go back to the junction where you turned in and turn left on to Matlock Street, you will now drive for around half a mile (don’t panic you will be very close to the town centre when parked) and turn in to the









MARKET PLACE CAR PARK (DDDC controlled / Pay and display)

Market Place, Market Street,Bakewell, DE45 1EX

If you have crossed over the old bridge and take the first left,

Market place car park is on your right. This car park is short

stay only and has 61 spaces. As it fronts the Co Op supermarket

places may be limited due to store shopping.

Charges : Up to 1 hour £ 1.00
Up to 2 hours £ 1.50
10pm – 8am £ 0.20

If it is go back to the junction where you turned in and turn left back onto Bridge Street and then turn left at the roundabout on to Matlock Street. Take the first left turning onto to Granby Road and 50 yards on the right is





New Street CAR PARK (DDDC controlled / Pay and display)

New Street,Bakewell, DE45 1DW

This car park has 18 spaces and is a mix of spaces.
The long stay area is in the rear courtyard.

Bakewell Bridge CAR PARK (Private controlled / Pay and display)

Coombs Road,Derbyshire Dales, Bakewell DE45 1BU

The first car park as you enter Bakewell from the Baslow
direction it has no height restrictions and is ideal for small
camper vans. Turn left before the old bridge onto Coombes Road and
the car park is on your right. It has 155 spaces and is open 7 days
a week and is currently open 24 hours.

This car park has 18 spaces.

Charges : Up to 2 hours £1.50
2 to 4 hours £3.50
All day £4.00
6pm – midnight £1.50
Overnight same as dayrate

This car park is ideal if visiting Felicini restaurant for a meal and general visiting





Smiths Island CAR PARK (Private controlled / Pay and display)

Off Coombs Road,Derbyshire Dales, Bakewell DE45 1BU

The next closest car park from the Baslow direction.
Carry on past the turning to the Bridge car park and take the next right and
straight on into Smiths Island. The first section is short stay and has 120 spaces and a maximum stay of 2 hours.

Charges : Up to 1 hour £0.80p
1 to 2 hours £1.50

The second section of Smiths Island is long stay and has 450 spaces and a maximum stay of all day up to 6pm.
The car park closes at 6pm prompt.

Charges : Up to 4 hours £3.00
Over 4 hours £4.00

Smiths Island is open 7 days a week opening at 6.30am and the gates close at 6pm

This car park does not accept conference parking vouchers for the Agricultural Centre

This car park is a short walk to the town centre









AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS CENTRE CAR PARK (DDDC controlled / Pay and display)

Agricultural Centre, Agricultural Way, Bakewell, DE45 1AQ

This car park has 420 spaces, has no height restrictions and ideal for medium to large campervans. It is the first if you are coming from the Matlock direction. It is on the right just before entering the town. It is deceiving in as much that you might feel you are parking a long way from the town when in fact you will only be a short walk away from the town centre, 2 or 3 minutes.(see the map).

Up to 4 hours £ 3.50
Over 4 hours £ 4.50

Chesterfield Shopmobility provide scooters at certain times of the year. These are available from outside the Agricultural Business Centre. If this is of interest you should contact Mr Chris Wintle on 01246 559331 for further details.

This car park is ideal for those planning a trip including a meal and some retail therapy.

IMPORTANT : During severe weather conditions the Haddon Road entrance is prone to flooding. The alternative entrance at these times is via Coombes Road off the A619 which is over the old bridge on the right as you are leaving town towards Baslow.

There are two further small car parks as well as any available on street parking.

NEW STREET CAR PARK (DDDC controlled / Pay and display)

This car park is pay and display situated to the year of the Castle Pub and very close to the town centre but only has 22 spaces.

Charges : Up to 1 hour £1.00
Up to 2 hours £1.50
Up to 4 hours £3.50
Over 4 hours £4.50






STATION ROAD CAR PARK 10am – 6pm (Peak Park controlled / Pay and display)

This car park is a pay and display situated 1/3 of a mile at the top of Station Road in the old station and has 25 spaces.
This car park is ideal for those planning to walk the Monsal Trail. The walk into Bakewell is probably around a mile down the hill.
So just be aware that the walk back is going to be uphill.

All day £3.50

The parking restrictions in Bakewell are regularly and stringently controlled and we would urge you to choose the parking facility which best suits your needs. Please take note of the restriction notices and avoid a fine.
