Bakewell Monday Market Monday 2nd October 2017 

Bakewell Market takes place every Monday, part of the market is held on the square in front of the Co-op building and the other part, in front of the police station.  

The traders on this lively, vibrant and thriving market,  provide visitors with a variety of goods and fresh produce. 

Bakewell is the only Market Town in the beautiful Peak District National Park. The Charter for this Monday market was granted in 1330, the third year of Kind Edward 111's forty year reign.

"Secrets and  Legends of Ancient Bakewell"  takes place every Thursday between the beginning of April and the end of October. The tour leaves Bakewell Tourist Information Centre at 2p.m.

bring their touring production of this much loved, but now rarely performed,
operetta of the early 20th century.



Set in the period after the defeat of the Spanish Armada and
during May Day celebrations, Merrie England tells a tale of the rivalry of Sir
Walter Raleigh & the Earl of Essex for the affections and attentions of
Queen Elizabeth I.



With stirring songs and music – including the well
known “Yeomen of England”, “Oh Peaceful England” and “Dan Cupid hath a
Garden” – with 8 piece orchestra and Tudor costumes, this is an entertainment
not to be missed.

Caving Courses Saturday 7th October 2017 

Our Intermediate caving courses are fun, challenging, adventurous and exciting as long as you are reasonably fit and ok with heights. You will be abseiling underground and climbing wire ladders.

These courses cover all aspects of the skills needed to help you become a better off road mountain biker. We look at your current riding style and introduce good habits whilst removing bad ones. These courses will improve your confidence and bike handling ability.

all money raised goes directly to providing Christmas entertainment and activities for all our members.
