Habeas Corpus by Alan Bennett | 12th - 12th May 2017 |
|
High Tor Players present... Mismanaged lust - mistaken identity - dropped trousers...'Habeas Corpus' has all the ingredients of a classic farce, spiced with the warmth and humanity of Alan Bennett's razor-sharp wit. In a satirical merry-go-round, we meet a family and acquaintances for whom the determination to put sex and the satisfactions of the body (or corpus) before everything else is the ruling passion of their lives. The permissive society is taken to task in a farcical comedy in which the characters move about through a maze of mistaken identities and sexual encounters. This is Alan Bennett at his comedic best. 12 May, 7.30pm (doors 7pm). Tickets £8 www.ticketsource.co.uk/date/333845 |
