Pink Floydian 1st - 1st April 2017 

Pink Floyd(ian) come to Bakewell

Get your fill of the Floyd, 1 April.

Pink Floydian are one of the most accurate Pink Floyd tribute bands in the UK today.Gathered together from the cream Floyd loving musicians they deliver well over two and a half hours of Pink Floyd classics covering nine albums including a full performance of the iconic Dark Side of the Moon.

The band sound extremely close to the original recordings, replicating the incredible sounds of Gilmour, Wright, Mason and Waters with precision and dexterity. From the Lush landscapes of “Shine on you crazy diamond” to the haunting refrain of “A Great Gig in the Sky” the band will guide you on a magical journey through the illustrious recording career of the world’s most successful progressive rock band.

 In 2017 the iconic circular screen will be making an appearance, providing spectacular projections along with the light show. This is a show not to be missed, the band will be performing the “ANIMALS” album in full to celebrate 40 years since its release. Have no fear though as all the classic tracks from their other albums will be included in the show.

Bakewell Monday Market Monday 3rd April 2017 

Bakewell Market takes place every Monday, part of the market is held on the square in front of the Co-op building and the other part, in front of the police station.

Most of our Peak District climbing courses meet in Hathersage at 930am and move to a crag close by. We cover all the safety aspects of climbing but most importantly most of your time is spent climbing and enjoying the day whilst learning from one of our climbing experts.

Our Intermediate caving courses are fun, challenging, adventurous and exciting as long as you are reasonably fit and ok with heights. You will be abseiling underground and climbing wire ladders.

BAKER TO APPEAR AT BAKEWELL'S 6TH FOOD
FESTIVAL !



The Bakewell Food Festival returns for its sixth year, once
more celebrating the wealth of excellent local produce that the Peak District
and this beautiful market town have to offer. As well as the multi-award
winning farmers market at the Agricultural Business Centre, the town’s historic
streets will host more than their usual splendid offerings of food fayre to
tempt your palate! Exciting news for this year is that Bakewell based Hartington School of food will
feature Great British Bake Off's 'star baker’, Howard Middleton , who will be
demonstrating his cookery and baking skills all day Sunday..
 



The festival will include over 50 stalls around the streets
of this beautiful historic, riverside market town, with the focus being on food
and drink. Tasting trail, road shows, cookery demonstrations, children’s rides,
owls, ponies and donkeys. The Old House museum and historic church will be
open, craft and gift fairs in venue’s around the town.
